First 100,000 gallons:    $3.25 per 1000 gallons
Over 100,000 gallons:    $3.05 per 1000 gallons
Monthly customer charge per service address: $10.00

Water Sprinkler
All gallons:    $4.25 per 1000 gallons

Rate Structure Effective June 1, 2013

Water Service
All gallons:    $3.50 per 1000 gallons
Monthly customer charge per service address: $15.00

Water Sprinkler
All gallons:    $4.50 per 1000 gallons

State sales and local option sales taxes will be added to the rate to comply with the provisions of the Code of Iowa.

Other Rates:
5/8" Meter, Tap & Saddle Service Permit: $300.00
1" Meter, Tap & Saddle Service Permit: $350.00
Additional 5/8" Meter Service Permit: $175.00
Additional 1" Meter Service Permit: $275.00
Meter Test by SMU:  $45.00

Sewer/Solid Waste Rates

Solid Waste, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer are controlled by the City of Spencer and billed for your convenience through Spencer Municipal Utilities. Questions about rates and policies should be directed to Spencer City Hall at 580-7200.
